This kitchen thermometer features a 145mm long, food-grade 18/8 stainless steel probe to keep your hands away from the heat and prevent dangerous situations. The probe tip should be placed in the thickest part of the food, but not touching it, as this conducts heat and underestimates the temperature.
The Hold button locks the current reading even after removing the probe from the heat source. The Max/Min button displays the minimum and maximum test readings.
